The next municipal election will take place on
Monday, October 24, 2022. Town of Bancroft Council has approved internet/telephone voting methods and voters can expect to receive their voter kits by mail this fall.
Who can VOTE in municipal elections?
Anyone can vote in a municipal election who, on the day of the election is:
- 18 years of age or older;
- a Canadian citizen, and;
- either a resident of the municipality/ property owner/ tenant / spouse of an owner or tenant in the municipality during a specified time just before the election
Are you on the Voter's list?
The most convenient way to do this is via Voter Look Up service. This service is provided by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). The Voter Lookup service allows residents to:
- confirm or update their voting information;
- add a voter's name to an address, and;
- change school support for the purpose of voting in a school board election
