Go Wander!

Eagle's Nest Lookout


Take a hike up to the beautiful Eagle's Nest Lookout! At the lookout, you will be able to overlook the breathtaking views of the York River Valley, and explore more trails to continue the fun!
Directions: Head out onto Hastings Street North towards Highway 62 North. Then, turn right onto Eagle's Nest Crescent, before making another immediate right onto Eagle's Nest Park Road.

Egan Chutes Provincial Park


A quick 10-20 minute hike will get you to the falls, where you will find a cascading waterfall and scenic views. 

Directions: Head onto Highway 28 East, and continue on the highway for approximately 15 kms. Look for signage indicating a Provincial Park, which will be on your left.

The Hastings Heritage Trail


The Hastings Heritage Trail follows an old railway line, and stretches nearly 160 kms for riders of all kinds to enjoy. Whether you like to walk, bike, ski, or ride your recreational vehicle, this trail is perfect for everyone to enjoy!

Rockhound!

Did you know that Bancroft is the mineral capital of Canada? Try your hand at rockhounding when you visit the CN Rock Pile! The CN Rock pile is made up of materials that were brought in from the Golden-Keene Quarry for the construction of the Town's railway! Now, anyone is free to collect minerals here to create or expand their collections! 
Directions: The CN Rock Pile is located directly across the road from the Town of Bancroft Municipal Office, on the Hastings Heritage Trail. It will be approximately 200 meters down the trail on your left.
