Beaches and Boat Launches

Riverside Park 
Riverside Park has a small boat launch for kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats that wish to explore the York River. There are no motorized vehicles permitted on the York River. 
Riverside Park is located directly down the hill from the Municipal Office.

L'Amable Dam / L'Amable Lake

L'Amable Dam is located on Old L'Amable Road, and is a great place to take a dip on a hot day! There is a dock for lounging, picnic tables for lunches, and a great beach for playing. There is no boat launch at this location.

L'Amable Lake is connected to the L'Amable Dam, and is a great place to spend your time fishing, boating, or paddling! There is a public boat launch located off of Old L'Amable Road for you to start your boating adventures.

Baptiste Lake


Baptiste Lake is located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Bancroft, and offers some 36 miles for boating pleasure! A public boat launch is located off of South Baptiste Lake Road.

Papineau Lake

Papineau Lake is located in Maple Leaf, off of Highway 62 North. It has a beautiful beach, with a shallow water entry, and a sandy lake bottom. There are two public boat launches on the lake.
